An unsuccessful paparazzi, Les, allows the homeless Toby to stay with him; in return Toby will keep house and work as his assistant. Les introduces his poor assistant to the world of showbiz, glamorous parties and the good life. The unexpected success of Toby in this world annoys Les – who is after all his benefactor. But while Les the paparazzi is still regarded with contempt Toby becomes a TV star and attracts the favours of a popular female singer. The envy this arouses on the part of Les leads to a war between the two former friends…
